Local & Global

Missions

The mission of New Heights Baptist Church is to “Make More and Better Christians” worldwide. Nothing is more important for an individual than to know Jesus Christ personally and follow Him daily with His church. As we follow Jesus, He equips and enables us to help others follow Jesus.
Local Outreach: NHBC is committed to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ in the northeast area of the Dallas metro through the daily life crossroads of our people, weekly Saturday morning visits in the community, and various organized efforts throughout the year.
Regional, National, and Global Outreach: NHBC’s job is not done until we go into “all the world” with the gospel, baptizing believers, and establishing local churches worldwide. We cannot do that without U.S. church-planters and foreign missionaries.
We currently support 25+ missionaries to foreign fields and church planters in the United States. We enjoy the ongoing relationships we have with each one and seek to ensure who we support are quality, biblical, indigenous church-planters. We support these through Faith Promise Missions Giving of our members.
We have started one Independent Baptist Church and have helped in supporting 15+ others around the nation since the year 2000.
We seek to invest into the next generation of missionaries by encouraging them to pursue foreign internships that will prepare them for long-term success in the foreign field and coordinating such efforts with other like-minded churches.

Service & Training

Adults

The adult ministries of NHBC seek to make more and better Christian adults through Bible teaching, fellowship, outreach, and service. Each group meets weekly to learn God’s Word together in Sunday school at 9:30 AM, as well as purposefully gathering at other times to love one another, proclaim the gospel, and serve the church.
Young Adults (18-30) with Gabriel Smith. Whether going to college, building your early career, or starting a family the young adults are future leaders in preparation. In addition to Sunday School, Young Adult Meals (YAM) are hosted once a month for Christian fellowship with others in the same season of life.
Genesis (30-55) with Daniel LaBarge and James Schroeder. Whether you are a young couple beginning family life or an older couple beginning to “empty the nest”, join the class of new beginnings as we seek to help others find a new beginning in Jesus Christ.
Keenagers (55+) with Rick Michael and Collin Helton. We are the silver heads of NHBC, walking with the Son in our sunset years. We seek to invest into the work of the Lord by providing godly Christian examples and prayerfully encouraging the younger generations.

Teens for Christ

Youth Ministries

6th-12th grade with Mrs. Dori Foster and Mrs. Tori Mansker meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 AM.
New Heights Baptist Youth is dedicated to glorifying God with each individual life. We teach teens from the Bible how to have a real relationship with God and how to continue that relationship in the future. Our prayer for them is to have a love for God and His Word, have a growing, personal relationship with Christ through reading their Bibles, to respect and honor their parents, to be a shining representative for Christ in the community, and to serve God with their whole heart for the remainder of their lives.
We have fun activities scheduled monthly like bowling or an escape room. The teens look forward every year to a week of church camp as well as several youth conferences that we attend throughout the year. We also have done a Tubing Trip the past few years in south Texas.
The youth are also involved in a variety of ministries in the church. Instrumentals, singing, greeting, and serving in other capacities.

Kids for Christ

Children

The Children’s Ministry of New Heights Baptist Church aids and supports our families as fathers and mothers seek to raise their children to be healthy, mature Christian adults. We aim to teach our children God’s truth, show them God’s love, and direct their hearts to their families.
Sunday School meets at 9:30 AM for Bible lessons, songs, memorization, and personal instruction from caring teachers.

This QR code will be scanned at check in and check out and will have all the information for your child on an online spreadsheet that the nursery workers can access. Then every time you come back just scan the card and you’ll be good to go!

God-Centered Worship

Music

The music ministry at NHBC is focused on exalting the Lord, and edifying, encouraging, and educating the believers. This then should be used by the believers to evangelize the lost by showing the change in their hearts and song. Music in the church should be distinctly different from that of the world in sound and lyrics. We strive for our music to reflect God’s holiness and to be alive and exciting.
Adult Choir directed by Joshua Jones practices every Sunday afternoon at 5 PM.
Special Music: Many members are regularly involved in instrumental and vocal specials of the church services.

Engaging for Ministry

Ministry Mentoring

Timothy Project: One of the greatest needs in America is good churches. One of the greatest needs in American churches is good pastors. We believe it’s our responsibility to help raise up a new generation of good pastors for our churches in our land.
Most every summer NHBC has two young men intern for 10 weeks. They are given practical preaching experience and in-depth training from a behind the scenes look at pastoral ministry.
Titus Project: Mature Christian living is often better caught than taught. Without unity between old and young believers, though, this rarely happens well. God intends for mature believers in life to disciple and help the immature in life, namely, the young.
We strive to bridge the gap from the young to the old and emphasize the influence of older, mature believers in the church. We engage in purposeful relationships from older couples and singles to younger couples and singles during the year to encourage and help direct the lives of the young.
