Pastor Steve Foster

Pastor Steve Foster was born in 1965, and was raised in North Florida by hard working, Christian parents, who were very involved in their local Baptist Church. At age 18 he moved to Texas and enrolled in Bible College, where he met his wife, Dori. The Lord has blessed them with four children who love and continue to serve Christ. Colt and his wife Shalyse serve on staff and he is continuing his training towards the pastoral ministry. Kortney and her husband Andrew serve faithfully in the church. Kelsey and Kacilyn are continuing their professional education and also serve faithfully in the church. The family is a tremendous blessing from the Lord and bless the Lord often with special music.

Pastor Foster joined the staff in 1988 and took the church as Pastor in 1993. He is a faithful servant of God who is confident in his call and ministry. Under his leadership, New Heights has followed Pastor Foster through many trials and great endeavors for the work of God. New Heights is thankful to call Steve Foster, “Pastor.”

Colt Foster – Youth/Music Director

Colt Foster grew up here at New Heights Baptist Church. He was saved at the age of 7 and baptized shortly thereafter. He surrendered to preach at Church Camp the summer after his senior year of high school. After staying home a year to save money, he enrolled at Heartland Baptist Bible College with a pastoral major. During his time there, he met his wife Shalyse. Colt and Shalyse graduated together in May of 2018. They married in June of the same year and joined the staff of NHBC the same month. They have two wonderful children, Rinlee and Wade.

Gabriel Smith – Staff Intern

Gabriel Smith was born and raised in Centennial, Colorado just a few miles outside of the city limits of Denver. He grew up in a Christian home and was raised in Church. He got saved In the summer of 2013 while attending Silver State Baptist Youth Camp. After graduating high school in 2017, Gabriel worked at Silver State Baptist Youth Camp where the Lord got a hold of his heart calling him into the ministry. In the fall of 2017, Gabriel attended Heartland Baptist Bible College, where the Lord began to work on his heart about the call to the pastorate. During the Pandemic in 2020, Gabriel met his wife Sydney, they were married in the fall of 2023. Currently, both Gabriel and Sydney oversee the Children’s Department.
